The painter of that portrait, Gilbert Stuart, was a New England man who showed promise as a painter from a young age. The farm has remained undivided ever since and belonged to one of Casey's descendants until they gifted it to the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities. Today, you can visit the farm and enjoy a guided tour of the fields and historic houses. Casey's is still a working farm, which provides organic fruits and vegetables to the surrounding area.
